The church plays an important part in our community, hosting many social as well as spiritual events. The church is heavily involved in Hamble Week, hosting events such as the Sunday Jazz Lunch. Monies raised at such events help to fund community groups as well as the expected church roof repair fund!
St Andrew's is very much within the Anglo Catholic tradition of the Church of England.
Services are modern and ritualistic. There is a daily Eucharist and each Sunday there is an 8am Said Eucharist. The Sunday 10am Sung Eucharist takes the form of a modern westward facing High Mass with incense. The church has a sacramental theology and it's serving priests are liturgists. |
