Based in Hamble, the 6th Itchen, Hamble Sea Scouts is one of the most active sea scout groups in the country with 30 cub scouts, 50 sea scouts 40 Explorers and an active Network section of about 20 members.

Water based activities include swimming, rowing, canoeing (with white water camps), surfing, power boating, sailing in different types of boats ranging from five new "picos", asymmetric skiffs and a 30 foot gaff rigged ketch and a Dragon Boat.

Shore based activities include, First Aid, Safety at Sea, Camping, Shooting, Archery, Hiking, Navigation, Pioneering, Cooking, Swimming and in-pool canoe practice.
