Scouts Enjoy a Birthday Bash

The Hamble Sea Scouts held their annual summer barbeque which this year coincided with a celebration of 100 years of its history.

The band "On the Rocks" proved to be a great success allowing the scouts and their parents to dance the night away to old favourites from the 60's and 70's.

The scout hut was used to display an exhibition about the 100 year history of the scouting movement in Hamble, which was created by Brian Hoey, (and will appear on this site soon).

RAGE Quiz Night

RAGE (Residents Against Gravel Extraction) enjoyed a fundraising quiz night to raise monies for the fight to stop the Hamble Airfield becoming a major site for gravel extraction within the locality.

Here Stuart Barnard, landlord of the Whyte Harte presents the winning team with their prize.
