Youth Centre

Run by the Hampshire County Youth Service, HYPE is for young people who live in the Hamble, Bursledon and Hound area. Entry to the Youth Centre (opposite the Hamble School Sports Complex) is free and there is a range of activities for all to do:

• Games Consoles - Wii/PS2
• Pool Table
• TV/Video Quiet Room
• Sports Equipment
• Giant Games
• Music Decks
• Plasma TV/Sky
• Coffee Bar
• Trips and Events

Advice on all matters, counselling, careers info, CV writing, support and apprenticeships is also on offer.

Open during the day and in the evening from 7 pm - 9:30 pm Monday and Wednesday nights and from 7 pm - 10 pm in the August summer break.

There is a young people's 'drop-in' session on Tuesdays 3pm to 4.30pm, (term time only) for under 24's. This is a confidential contraceptive and sexual health drop in. Young people can access pregnancy/ chlamydia testing, emergency contraception and gain advice on a range of issues. There is a smoking cessation health worker available for all young people who would like to quit. No appointment necessary, just turn up!
