Hamble Conservation Volunteers

Around Hamble Common you will discover a wide range of habitats, such as shingle beach, salt-marsh, mudflats, heathland.  woodland, and meadow. This Diversity, and the range of animal and plants species it supports, has resulted of much of the area being classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and the heathland as a “priority habitat” for conservation.

The Hamble Conversation Volunteers are a group dedicated to helping maintain and preserve this habitat under the watchful eye of the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.

A wide range of activities are conducted, from litter picking to the creation of boardwalks, and as such suits volunteers young and old.

The group welcome new members for a variety of activities, on one or all occasions, be in a morning or afternoon on task days or it help with the minute taking of their meetings!
