Every year at the end of June and in the first weekend of July, Hamble hosts its very own "Hamble Week".

Hamble Week brings together the village and those who love the yachting side of Hamble to host a variety of events. Past festivities have included a "boogie on the beach", sailing competitions, a funfair on the village green, the popular French market, an arts and craft market, piped bands, a beach bar and the church based Jazz Sunday lunch. The week culminates in a grand firework display on the waterfront.

The most popular and exciting event is the village raft race, where teams of semi-insane men and women tear down the High Street and launch themselves onto the river to do a round circuit...only to do it again!

Great fun to watch and for those who take part not for the faint hearted!

Hamble Week is a fantastic local event with something for everyone and a great way of raising money for local charities too.
