As a tribute to its author Nicolas Robinson, who died in 1998, his family and friends have published a second limited edition which has been brought up to date with additional text and illustrations. This fascinating book covers the history of the village since medieval times, the Norman Priory, the ferry, T.S. Mercury, and especially Hamble's key role in the development of aviation and yachting.

The book contains original pictures of Hamble from the author's unrivalled collection. Hamble families and characters walk through every page, because this village history is about its people as well as the buildings and events that made Hamble world famous.
