Hamble Billiard Champions

Having already won the billiards league some five weeks ago the Hamble Club team found themselves in The Ushers Cup finish against the Aerostructures A Team.

Paul Knights and Rob Shattock started the first of two games and had a good win against Derek Foster, while Rob did well to score 160 against an inspired Peter Green of Aero.

Team captain Will Mildenhall and Mark Spridgeon were next on with Will chaliking up a convincing win against Mike Adams, while Mark produced an absolutely brilliant performance against Steve Boterhoek to leave his father, Tony Spridgeon, in a position of only having to score twelve points against Aeros Paul Adams.

Paul is without doubt a brilliant billiards player but it is virtually impossible to stop somebody scoring twelve points and although Paul won the game Tony scored 160 to complete a league and cup double for the victorious Hamble Club
